License Agreement

The agreement for using Cachelift on your Mac: what the license allows, what lifetime includes, activation and moving Macs, how cleanup and the Trash work.

Last updated 27 October 2026. Cachelift is published by Brixfly.

This is an agreement between you and Brixfly Services (“we”, “us”) for the Cachelift app. By installing or using the app you accept it.

Free scan and paid license

Scanning is free and needs no license. Moving items to the Trash needs a paid license.

What you are licensed to do

You get a non-transferable license to install and use Cachelift on one Mac that you own or control, for personal or work use. You are licensed to use the software, not given ownership of it.

What “lifetime” means

  • Your license does not expire. You can keep using the version you bought.
  • All 1.x updates are included at no extra cost.
  • A future major version, such as 2.0, may be sold separately. Your license keeps working with the last 1.x version.
  • We plan to keep improving Cachelift, but we do not promise a fixed number of updates or a fixed period of support.

Activation, offline use and moving to another Mac

  • You activate with your license key. Activation needs an internet connection.
  • Cachelift checks your license online from time to time. If you are offline it keeps working for up to 14 days, then asks you to reconnect.
  • One license works on one Mac at a time. To move it, choose “Deactivate this Mac” in the app, then activate it on the other Mac. If you can no longer reach the old Mac, contact support.
  • If you lose your key, use “Email my key” in the app. It sends your key to the email address you bought with.

What you must not do

Do not copy, resell or share the app or your key, get around the license check, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law gives you a right that cannot be waived.

Your files and your responsibility

Cachelift shows you a list and moves only what you select. You are responsible for reviewing your selection and for keeping backups, for example with Time Machine.

  • Selected items are moved to the macOS Trash. If an item cannot be moved, it is left where it is and the app tells you. It is not deleted.
  • You can put items back from the Trash until you empty it. Once the Trash is emptied we cannot restore them.
  • Moving items to the Trash does not free disk space until you empty the Trash.
  • Build output and dependencies you remove may need to be rebuilt or downloaded again, which takes time and needs a network connection.
  • The optional Docker and pnpm cleanup runs docker system prune and pnpm store prune. These commands remove unused data directly and do not use the Trash. They only run when you start them.

No guarantee against data loss

The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we give no implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing here limits liability or consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

We may end your license if you seriously break this agreement. If a payment is refunded in full, the license ends. If any part of this agreement cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

Law and changes

This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. We may update it for new versions of the app and will change the date above when we do. Questions: support@brixfly.com.
